Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Easton

Looking for a spiritual community that doesn't tell you what to think? The Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Easton can help you discover, explore and strengthen your spiritual connections, but will never hand you a list of required beliefs. Why? Because we believe that every individual has the right -- and maybe even the obligation -- to discover spiritual truth for himself. Because we believe that only by practicing our beliefs can we call ourselves believers. Because we believe that we are endowed with sufficient intelligence and curiosity to recognize truth when we encounter it and to practice fairness and justice because we know it is right to do so.

We are Unitarian Universalists (UUs for short) and UUs affirm and promote:

  • The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
  • Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
  • Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
  • A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
  • The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
  • The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
  • Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

At the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Easton, we teach our children how to think, not what to think. We look to each other for support and guidance, friendship and inspiration. We are a warm and welcoming congregation in every sense of these words and we express our spirituality in many different ways -- through our worship services, our musical groups (choir, drum circle and song circle), our social action and community events, our spiritual gatherings and our alternative forms of worship (earth-centered celebrations, chakra exploration and meditative walks along our nature trail).

The purpose of our fellowship is to provide for public worship according to the liberty of individual beliefs; the free discussion of religious and moral questions; the opportunity for children to discover through broad religious education an evolving faith of their own; and the transformation of individual and social life in the light of religious principles.

We have many exciting programs for both adult and children's religious education scheduled for this year and hope you will consider joining us on our spiritual journey and in our quest for kindness, fairness and truth in all aspects of our lives.
