The Talbot County Department of Social Services Volunteer Services Program is currently accepting applications for prospective volunteers who would like to make a difference in their community. They can do this by serving others in a variety of ways. Volunteers assist in delivering direct customer services to Foster Care families and children, the elderly and disabled in the Adult Services Program, parents and children in the Parent Education Program, and job seekers in Workforce Initiatives. 

Match your particular skills and interests to an area of service.

Are you skilled in 

household management & budgeting 

teaching families

math, reading or other academics         

tutoring

computers and job performance  

coaching job search & retention

listening & encouraging

driving customers to appointments

and/or

mentoring a teen or adult

clerical or administrative work

special projects
